What our College Ministry is about

With over 50,000 college students in Gainesville, we hope to be a home away from home for our college students. This is one of the most formative times in a person's life. It's also the most common window when students walk away from their faith. We see participation in the local church as necessary for their spiritual vitality and lifelong pursuit of loving God, his Word, and Church. We want to reach students and care for them. In addition to our own ministry to college students, we partner with Reformed Univesity Fellowship (RUF) and support the Christian Study Center located at Pascal's Coffeehouse in Gainesville, FL.

Mission

We aim to be a church that reaches college students and cares for them physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Vision

We envision students...

  • Growing in Christ as they participate in his Church
  • Developing lifelong friendships intergenerationally
  • Deepening their faith to withstand cultural challenges
  • Using their gifts to serve
  • Graduating with a deep love for God, his Word, and Church as they mature into adulthood.

Values & Strategy

Connect in Church

We long for students to see their involvement in a local church as essential for their spiritual health. Since campus ministries are an indispensable arm of the Church, we partner with them! However, participation in a campus ministry does not sufficiently replace the Church. Students need to connect in the body of Christ to flourish spiritually.

Grow in Church

Students will grow immensely throughout these unique years of their life. At Faith, we long to care for students physically, emotionally, and spiritually so that their time in college will set them on a healthy trajectory of growth throughout their lifetime. If you connect in the church, you will grow because the Church is where Christ is present.

Serve in Church

One of the best ways for students to grow in their faith is by using their gifts to serve in the local church. Faith has many opportunities for students to volunteer, and there are also opportunities for internships. Too often students show up and leave immediately after the service. We see God calling students into a deeper spirituality that values the gifts of the Spirit for his people. We desire to encourage you so your gifts flourish and grow.
