What Are You Waiting For?

Takeaway: Advent is a season of anticipation, but what are we waiting for? We expect a God of love will give us things to serve our goal of reaching the good life.  In our passage, God stands in the way of Joshua entering the gift of the Promised Land. This event clarifies that the Lord has not arrived to serve Joshua; Joshua’s mission is to serve the Lord. How have you been treating God as if he is on your side? When have you misunderstood his “No” as a sign that he is against you?
