Making it Official

Takeaway: The task of stewarding sound doctrine and spiritually caring for the church is greater than one man can handle. From the beginning, God has used office-bearers to care for the household of God. These positions bring unique responsibilities and temptations that could undermine the ministry of the church. Members should hold officers to a high standard, but they should also pray for, support, and encourage these spiritual leaders in their tasks.
