The Christian’s Bittersweet Calling

Takeaway: Revelation has pictured Christ as reigning over the world, bringing about a victory over sin and death. He calls us to participate in that victory by faithfully preaching the gospel to the world. This sweet message will often be met with a bitter response. Being rejected and suffering for the gospel is part of what it means to follow Christ. Strangely, like Christ, this suffering is how the victory is won.
