Takeaway: Life with Christ is full of challenges. Not only do we struggle because of our sin and idolatry, we are engaged in a spiritual battle where real enemies attack us. Therefore, we're assailed from within and from without. For many, this is often the source of discouragement, backsliding, and doubt. It's at this point that many Christians stumble, because they misidentify the source of their success. To what degree is our success in the Christian life dependent on us?
