Spreading God's Word
The staff and leadership here at Faith Church is comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every single person in the church. If you have any questions for any of our staff, feel free to contact our church office to speak with them here.
Steve was born in Minnesota but moved around so much growing up that he's a geographical mutt. He received his MDiv at Covenant Seminary in Saint Louis and went on to serve as the campus minister for Reformed University Fellowship at the University of Florida for 11 years before becoming the pastor of Faith in 2014. He's a big Gator football fan, but he met his wife Jenna while attending Clemson University so he also has a soft spot for all things related to the Tigers. Steve has two middle-school daughters, a love for sweets, and a sad belief that his ping pong skills actually matter.
Matt was born and raised in eastern North Carolina, but you could never tell by his accent, or love of biscuits and BBQ. After graduating from Western Carolina University, Matt spent several years as a middle school teacher. After teaching middle school Matt received his MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. If anything concerns sports, hunting and fishing, or Ron Swanson, be prepared to talk for a while! Matt and his wife Abby have a little boy named Titus who you will often hear being loud or laughing at church!
Joseph was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and moved to Gainesville for school. Having finished his Associate of Arts at Santa Fe College, Joseph is now pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Florida. Being the youngest of six kids, Joseph is predictably loud and obnoxious. He loves participatory corporate worship and is passionate about music that engages multiple generations. He also loves songwriting, pretending to be good at sports, and playing games of all kinds. Go Santa Fe Saints!
Teresa is a Florida native and UF grad. A homeschooling mom of three boys she spends most days surrounded by legos, the sound of D-Day battle re-enactments, and sticky surfaces. Teresa loves to read and can often be found neglecting housework in lieu of finishing a good book. She and her husband Max love traveling, making homemade pasta, and being with their boys.
Originally from the Cayman Islands Genet has lived in Miami,
New York, and now Gainesville. She and her husband Zack, both recently graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion. She’s passionate about
her role in church and helping those around her. When not at work, she enjoys going
